Plot

In a world where power is bought and sold, Jamie Shannon, an astute soldier of fortune, plies his trade as a mercenary, willing to orchestrate coups and revolutions for the highest bidder. His latest assignment, commissioned by British mining magnates, sends him to Zangaro, a small, mineral-rich African nation groaning under the iron fist of a brutal, xenophobic dictatorship. Shannon's venture into this volatile nation quickly turns sour when he's arrested, branded a spy, and cast into the bleak abyss of its prisons. Within those grim walls, he meets Dr. Okoye, a revered intellectual and another victim of the oppressive regime. Together, they endure the beatings and torture, forming an unlikely camaraderie in their shared struggle. Upon his release, Shannon returns to London, a changed man bearing the scars of his ordeal. Yet, the world of corporate and political machinations isn’t done with him. He's presented with a tantalizing offer: to infiltrate Zangaro's capital covertly and spearhead a military coup, replacing the current dictator with another ostensibly friendlier to British interests. Shannon accepts this dangerous mission, but not without his own clandestine motives simmering beneath the surface. 'The Dogs of War' is not a remake of 'The Wild Geese' but a distinct and faithful adaptation of the eponymous novel, which unravels this intricate tale of power, betrayal, and personal vendettas. As the plot thickens, viewers will find themselves drawn into the gritty realities of mercenary warfare, corporate greed, and the relentless pursuit of justice.
