The Convent (2018)

In the hushed dawn of the seventeenth century, a youthful maiden named Persephone finds herself entangled in a web of falsified accusations and unjust imprisonment, her life precariously hanging in the balance. Her impending doom appears inescapable, until an enigmatic savior materializes in the form of the Reverend Mother. She extends an invitation to Persephone, a chance for sanctuary, and more crucially, a glimmer of hope. The Reverend Mother stands at the helm of a secluded Priory, a humble religious refuge, where she and her sisterhood dedicate their lives to the service of the Lord, seeking redemption for the sins of their past. It is here that Persephone finds herself, her journey from despair to salvation seemingly set. However, the tranquil haven proves to be an illusion. As Persephone steps into her new life, she is assaulted by horrifying visions, revealing a sinister truth. Salvation is not what the Priory holds for her, but a chilling struggle for her very soul. As the walls of the convent close in, Persephone must face a battle that will determine not only her fate but the essence of her being.
