Plot

In the intriguing corners of Thailand, there thrives an unusual ritual, believed to outwit death and wash away misfortune. In the heart of this custom, we find Sue Wong, a bride-to-be who leaves her fiancé Jack in Hong Kong, lured by the promise of a cure for her lung cancer. The ritual, as enigmatic as it sounds, works and Sue's cancer retreats, but her victory is marred by tragedy as Jack unexpectedly dies. Parallel to Sue's journey, we encounter Chris, a skeptic who finds himself entangled in the same ritual, desperate to aid his ailing love, Mariko. Unlike Sue, Chris is tormented by the ritual's claustrophobic confines, succumbing to death for an eerie 6 minutes and 42 seconds. The brush with death isn't as benign as it seems; it leaves both Sue and Chris haunted by disturbing visions and inexplicable occurrences. Their lives now entwined in supernatural chaos, Sue and Chris seek help from Professor Thanachai, a learned mind who suggests a daunting solution - to repeat the burial. The aim? To confront their lingering fears, settle their troubled spirits, and hopefully, to break the curse. Will they defy the odds and find closure, or will the ritual's consequences continue to haunt them? In "The Coffin", death isn't the end, but the beginning of a chilling journey, a dance with destiny and the supernatural that tests the boundaries of belief and skepticism, love and fear, life and the afterlife.
