Haunted by the chilling echoes of a dark past, Jim Norman, an unemployed high school teacher, finds himself returning to the town that carries the weight of his nightmares. Desperate to provide stability for his wife, Sally, and their son, Scott, Norman accepts a teaching job in the very place he and his family had once fled twenty-seven years ago. The town's quiet façade still harbors the memories of a horrific incident where Jim and his older brother Wayne fell prey to the brutal bullying of a gang of teenage thugs, culminating in Wayne's tragic murder in a desolate train tunnel. The violent end of this vicious gang seemed certain when their car was struck by a train, instantly killing Billy, North, and Vinnie, leaving only Mueller to carry the shadow of their shared sins. Or so it seemed. As Jim settles into his new role, the silence of the town is shattered when his best students start dying under mysterious circumstances, only to be replaced by eerily familiar faces. These new students bear an uncanny resemblance to the long-deceased Billy, North, and Vinnie, claiming to be from Milford and bringing with them a reign of terror that threatens to consume Jim and his family. In this unearthly ballet of past and present, Jim must confront the demons of his past, now quite literally returning from the grave. How far will he go to rid his life of these resurrected tormentors and secure the safety of his family? The echoes of the past reverberate through the halls of the high school and the streets of the town, proving that sometimes, they do come back.
