Plot

In a not-so-distant future, the world has been reshaped by an unyielding eco-sustainability law. Paper, once a common commodity, is now a scarce luxury and printing is a crime. Libraries exist only as untouchable museums, their treasures locked away. The ether is alive with a ceaseless stream of data, coursing through every tablet and smartphone, all under the omnipresent watch of the Zimurgh Corporation, known ominously as "Big Z". Immersed in this stark vision of the future, the city of Turin retains its allure, shrouded in an air of esoteric mystery. Amidst this backdrop, our sci-fi thriller unravels, centered on a British scholar of ancient Italian descent, Arthur J. Adams. He is our new Adam, a reincarnated King Arthur, entangled in a maze of murder and mystery, his path echoing the ancient footsteps of Dante Alighieri and Hieronymus Bosch. A sequence of grisly murders propels Adams into a labyrinth of clues, each leading him closer to an ancient secret, as timeless as the world itself. The secret promises ultimate knowledge, a celestial light of Paradise. To unveil it, Adams must navigate the convoluted cosmos of symbolism and confront his darkest fears, as he tries to decode ritualistic murders designed around the Seven Deadly Sins. As Adams delves deeper into the mysteries, he faces a profound catharsis, realizing the murders are mere illusions, a smokescreen for the spiritual forces they hide: The Seven Cardinal Virtues. His journey is a symbolic odyssey, fraught with peril and unexpected twists, a journey inward towards self-discovery. It’s a path to reclaim our primal wisdom, a celestial homecoming. Only by knowing oneself, Adams realizes, can we truly know our God.
