Plot

Venturing into the heart of Transylvania, young teacher Marianne Danielle is en route to a quaint village, poised to teach French and etiquette to a group of teenage girls. Fate takes a curious turn when her stagecoach abruptly halts at an inn within a mysterious village. Abandoned by the coachman and stranded amidst strangers, her predicament captures the attention of the enigmatic Baroness Meinster, who graciously offers her a night's refuge at her castle. The castle, a gothic fortress shrouded in mystery, is also home to the Baroness's son, Baron Meinster. Marianne stumbles upon the unsettling sight of the Baron, seemingly on the brink of despair, chained and confined by his own mother. Compelled by compassion and a sense of justice, Marianne sets him free, unbeknownst to the horrifying consequences that are about to unfold. As darkness descends, Marianne's noble act unwittingly awakens an ancient terror, rekindling the chilly grip of the undead on the village populace and even those within her school. As the villagers fall prey to an unimaginable horror, the arrival of the famed Dr. J. Van Helsing offers a glimmer of hope. Summoned by a local priest to treat an unknown disease, Van Helsing soon finds himself pitted against a menacing vampire, a creature of the night unleashed by Marianne's innocent act. As the village teeters on the edge of darkness, Van Helsing must confront this bloodthirsty specter to prevent the annihilation of the entire community.
