Plot

In the heart-wrenching tale of "The Boys Next Door," we meet Jack Palmer, a devoted social worker whose life orbits around his consuming profession. His mission? To guide four uniquely endearing, mentally challenged men as they navigate the currents of ordinary life within their shared home. The quartet consists of Norman, a donut shop employee with an unusual fascination for keys; Barry, a man ensnared in his delusion of being a golf-pro, struggling with paternal communication; Arnold, a Russian enthusiast notorious for his unchecked spending habits; and Lucien, the Spider Man fan whose looming senate testimony paints a heavy cloud over his head. Throughout their journey, Jack becomes their beacon, their compass in this complex world. Yet, a sense of longing gnaws at Jack, a desire to progress his own life beyond the confines of his demanding job. Saying goodbye to his makeshift family proves to be his greatest challenge. "The Boys Next Door" is a poignant exploration of duty, love, and letting go, promising to tug at the heartstrings of its viewers.
