The Golden Child (1986)

Many detectives have a talent that lends itself well to difficult cases. When a young child goes missing in Tibet, one detective is told he is the "Chosen One." He isn't sure what that means at first. Later he learns, he is the person meant to find "the golden child." The detective doesn't believe in mystical, cryptic things, but soon learns there might be something else controlling his destiny.
