Plot

In the bloom of adolescence, two friends, Leung and Will, embark on a quest in the verdant expanses of Hampstead Heath. Their mission? To capture a falling leaf mid-flight, a daring feat said to grant a wish to the triumphant. As they traverse the woodland tapestry, their journey is laced with playful banter and the unearthing of botanical specimens for Leung's school project. Yet, beneath the jovial surface, a deeper narrative unfolds. As the friends wade through the leafy labyrinth, the subject of sexual exploration keeps seeping into their conversation. Will's recent intimate encounter with his girlfriend sparks a discourse that oscillates between curiosity and bravado. Their dialogue, sprinkled with hints of flirtation, weaves a subtle tension into their companionship. It's an exploration not only of the woods, but of their emerging sexual identities. Leung, however, teeters on an unspoken precipice. He harbors a wish that goes beyond the whimsical folklore of the falling leaf. It's a desire that stems from the deepest corners of his heart, a longing to kiss his best friend. When he finally musters the courage to voice his feelings, it sets their friendship at a crossroad. Will's reaction hangs in the balance, his response uncertain. "Summer" is a touching and poignant narrative about the exhilaration and apprehension of adolescence, a time when friendships are tested and identities are shaped. It's a journey of self-discovery, longing, and an exploration of the tumultuous terrain of youthful emotions.
