Plot

In the thick of World War II, we encounter Private Snafu, a bumbling yet brash soldier, convinced of his own invulnerability. Snafu, a character as self-assured as he is naive, unwittingly becomes the keeper of a military secret of utmost importance - his ship's departure for Africa at 4:30. With the weight of this secret heavy on his tongue, Snafu, in rhymed couplets, begins to leak the classified information to unseen Axis spies lurking in the shadows. As the day unfolds, the secret unravels further. A seemingly innocent phone call to his mother divulges sensitive snippets of the secret, and a cunning femme fatale spy, using the persuasive power of liquor, teases out the remaining details from the unsuspecting Snafu. His misplaced trust and carelessly loose lips imperil not only his own life but also the fate of his ship. As the fragments of the secret weave together, they ultimately land on the unlikeliest of desks - Hitler's. With full knowledge of the ship's departure, the enemy engages, throwing Snafu and his ship into the perilous waters of a conflict they had hoped to avoid. In this high-stakes game of secrecy and betrayal, Private Snafu's folly serves as a potent reminder of the drastic consequences of a single loose-lipped soldier in the theater of war.
