In the late 1950s, Manhattan advertising agency Sterling-Cooper is the epic stage upon which ambitious, brilliant, greedy and creative men via for money, prestige and power. Sterling-Cooper’s star is Don Draper, a classic alpha male and creative genius who embodies the ruthless killer instincts required to climb to the top of an industry that is cutthroat-competitive in the extreme. The journey of Draper and Sterling-Cooper plays out across the decade of the 1960s showcasing the amazing American cultural transformations of that period. Draper achieves spectacular success, but his debauched personal life and character flaws drain away his soul.
