Plot

In the dim shadow of her twin sister Sofie's tragic suicide, Megan remains ensnared in the throes of grief and longing. As the summer solstice approaches, marking the longest day of the year, she embarks on a journey to her family's secluded home in the verdant depths of Nowell Lake, Louisiana. Accompanied by her close-knit group of friends - Christian, Zoe, Mark, and Alicia - Megan seeks solace in the familiar surroundings. In a quaint local store, she crosses paths with Nick, a friendly shopkeeper who introduces her to a magazine article detailing the mystical power of the summer solstice, a time believed to enhance communication with the departed. Intrigued and hopeful, Megan clings to the possibility of reconnecting with Sofie. Back at the house, Megan's quiet hopes transform into haunting encounters. She becomes convinced that a spectral presence, perhaps Sofie, is attempting communication from beyond. Her investigations lead her to Leonard, a peculiar local with secrets of his own. As Megan delves further, she stumbles upon a photograph of a mysteriously vanished girl, Malin. This discovery unravels a deeply concealed truth, casting a fresh and chilling light on Sofie's demise. The summer solstice, once a beacon of hope, now plays out as a suspenseful saga of revelation, mystery, and missed connections.
