In the rugged terrains of medieval Europe, the daring mercenary, Ettore, and his comrades traverse the land in search of battles where their prowess can earn them a fortune. Their journey leads them to a Spanish fortress, embroiled in the fiery breath of siege by the formidable French army. Ettore, a calculating strategist, bides his time, carefully observing the ebb and flow of the conflict to determine the likely victors - for they would bear the golden opportunity to fill his coffers.
Initially, the French seem to hold the upper hand, enticing Ettore with their apparent dominance. However, their harsh treatment soon sours the relationship, prompting a shift in Ettore's loyalties. He casts his lot with the embattled Spaniards, their perseverance stirring his warrior spirit.
Now, Ettore finds himself faced with a daunting task.
