As winter descends on a small town, a high school band's practice for the climactic football game is interrupted by the distant echo of gunshots. Rewind a few weeks, and we delve into the complex web of relationships that bind the townsfolk together. We meet Arthur, a high school student working part-time in a local restaurant, and Annie, a waitress there with a past connection to Arthur - she was once his babysitter.
