Snow (2004)

As the festive Christmas season dawns in San Ernesto, California, Buck Seger, a man with a penchant for big game hunting, is entrusted with the unique task of procuring reindeer from a local game farm for the town's zoo. The zoo's animal keeper, Sandy Brooks, finds solace in the company of animals, substituting them for the human connection she lacks. Despite her solitude, Sandy finds herself constantly warding off Buck's relentless romantic gestures. In a twist of fate, Buck's mission takes an unexpected turn when he mistakenly ensnares Buddy, a fresh recruit in Santa's reindeer team. Unbeknownst to him, Santa has embarked on a covert operation to rescue Buddy and master the art of flight, all within the ticking countdown to Christmas Day. Adopting the alias 'Nick Snowden', Santa can leap between the frosty expanses of the North Pole and any other location on Earth through magical mirrors. To reclaim Buddy, Nick must weave his way into Sandy's life, a strategy that ruffles Buck's feathers. Nick finds a home in the same boarding house where Sandy resides, but liberating Buddy proves to be a more complex task than he initially anticipated, especially when Buck uncovers Buddy's extraordinary abilities and his own greed takes hold. As the events unfold, Nick not only grapples with the challenge of recovering Buddy but also the blossoming feelings he harbors for Sandy, a goodbye that may prove harder than any mission Santa has ever undertaken.
