Snakes on a Train (2006)

In the dark folds of ancient Mayan lore, a chilling curse descends upon an unsuspecting young woman, causing her to incubate a living nightmare. Her body becomes a breeding ground for venomous serpents, their sinister hisses echoing from within as they gnaw at her very life force. Under the watchful eye of Brujo, a guardian steeped in the arcane, the woman embarks on a desperate journey from Mexico to Los Angeles, seeking the aid of a potent Mayan shaman to lift the curse that threatens to consume her. Their chosen vessel is a locomotive, a steel beast hurtling towards the City of Angels. On board, oblivious passengers indulge in their routine pleasures, unaware of the deadly cargo nestled amongst them. The mundane tranquility of their journey is shattered as Brujo's collection of slithering companions manage to slither away from their keeper, transforming the train into a moving theatre of terror. The serpents, once confined, now roam free, hunting with a primal ruthlessness. The passengers, once relaxed, now find themselves ensnared in a deadly game of survival. As the train barrels through the night, the boundaries of their world contract to the claustrophobic confines of their carriage. Unbeknownst to them, their only hope of survival is the woman they share this ride with - the woman who is dying from the inside, slowly being devoured by the very creatures that now stalk the aisles of their train. An eerie symphony of rattles and hisses fills the air, a chilling reminder that there may be no escape from the Snakes on the Train.
