Plot

Sergeant Bruce Robertson is a real piece of work. Bigoted, drug-addicted and mentally ill, he’s somehow conned his way into a career with the constabulary. When the Chief Inspector assigns Sergeant Robertson to investigate the murder of a foreign student, Robertson sees the case as his path to a promotion, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to knock his coworkers out of the running. He torments the rest of the police force and their families while he himself is pulled deeper into a pit of his own hallucinations. Can Sergeant Robertson find his way back to reality?
