In the heart of the vibrant metropolis, lives the timid etymologist, Ida Teeter, who is consumed by a distinct obsession with her 'pets', a vast assortment of insects. She shares her passion with Max, a loyal friend and confidante. An enigmatic package from the lush landscapes of Brazil, sent by a former professor, finds its way onto Ida's doorstep, its contents an uncategorized, mysterious beetle.
