The Fly II (1989)

In the grim aftermath of a chilling experiment gone awry, the world is left grappling with the grotesque legacy of Seth Brundle, a once-celebrated scientist tragically turned half-insect, dubbed the BrundleFly. Following his ghastly transformation and subsequent demise at the hands of Veronica, his lover, she tragically succumbs during childbirth, leaving their son, Martin, an orphan with an ominous genetic heritage. Raised under the watchful eye of his father's conniving employer, Bartok, Martin finds himself thrust into an accelerating life, maturing at a terrifying pace, embodying twenty human years at the tender age of five. Unbeknownst to him, Bartok has ulterior motives, exploiting Martin's unique lineage to advance the TelePods, his father's infernal invention, with the ambition of global supremacy. As the dormant insect genes in Martin stir to life, he begins a disturbing metamorphosis, becoming MartinFly. Unlike his father, who was plagued by illness, MartinFly emerges as a formidable, deadly force. In the midst of this terrifying transformation, Martin finds an ally in Beth Logan, a brilliant computer specialist. Together, they embark on a desperate quest to find a cure to halt Martin's horrifying transformation. Their journey leads them back to the sinister TelePods, the very invention that birthed this nightmare. As Bartok's relentless pursuit intensifies, they must outwit him and uncover the secret within the TelePods, before Martin completes his transformation into the deadliest incarnation of the BrundleFly species.
