Plot

In the ominous dawn of World War Two, England is brought to its knees by a chilling voice echoing in the night - the 'Voice of Terror'. With a jeering tone, this mysterious entity, presumed to be a Nazi saboteur, forecasts dreadful acts of terror over the BBC, sending tremors of fear throughout the nation. Each prediction unfailingly manifests into reality, leaving the Defence Committee utterly perplexed and desperate. In this dire crisis, the Homeland Security Inner Council turns to the only man who could possibly untangle this web of terror - the legendary Sherlock Holmes, portrayed by the indomitable Basil Rathbone. Alongside his steadfast companion, Dr. Watson, played by Nigel Bruce, Holmes plunges into the labyrinthine investigation with his characteristic fervor. The intrigue deepens on the very first night when their investigation is punctuated by a dying man who stumbles onto their doorstep, a fatal knife wound in his back. His last gasping word becomes a cryptic clue that leads Holmes into the grime-coated slums, a world far removed from his usual milieu. Here, he crosses paths with the enigmatic Kitty, the slain man's lover, played by Evelyn Ankers. Despite her grief, Kitty proves to be a formidable ally, vowing to aid in the investigation in any way she can. With her assistance, the duo must race against time to decode the voice's next terror-laden prophecy, hoping to unmask the puppeteer orchestrating this deadly game of fear before it's too late. In "Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror", Holmes is not merely up against a criminal but a cryptic voice that holds a nation hostage. The stakes are higher, the mystery darker, and the danger, all too real. Experience the thrill as the world's greatest detective battles not just for justice, but for the very soul of his beloved England.
