Plot

In the tranquil realm of Canada, Nandini and Shekhar, both of Indian origin, coexist in harmonious wedded bliss, nurturing their young son amidst their bustling lifestyle. While Nandini is tethered to her roots through her family in Canada, Shekhar's past remains a mystery. However, a sudden eruption of violence in India, broadcast on breaking news, compels Shekhar to reveal his hidden ties to his homeland and convince Nandini to accompany him on a journey back to his village. Upon their arrival, they are welcomed by Shekhar's long-lost uncle and cousin, only to discover they've unwittingly stepped into a battlefield of bloodshed. The village, still marred by the ancient feud between Shekhar's father, Narsimha, and his step-brother, has not changed since Shekhar's departure. The thirst for vengeance between the two factions endangers the couple and their child, culminating in Shekhar's tragic death. Nandini, now a widow in a foreign land, fears for her son's safety and yearns to return to Canada. Yet, Narsimha vehemently denies her plea, viewing the boy as the last male heir of their lineage, destined to carry forward the family's vendetta. Locked away from her son, Nandini's desperation fuels her daring escape, aided by Narsimha's wife and daughters. However, the shadow of menace still looms over Nandini and her son as Narsimha's sharpshooter and his men relentlessly pursue them. Their plight takes a turn when they cross paths with a local named Jai Singh, who might be their only hope in this dangerous game of survival. 'Shakti: The Power' (2002) is an intense voyage into the heart of family ties, ancient rivalries, and one woman's unwavering pursuit of safety for her child.
