Scrap Happy Daffy (1943)

Set against the backdrop of World War II, our hero Daffy Duck presides over a bustling junkyard, a treasure trove of scrap metal destined to be transformed into weapons vital in the Allied resistance against the Axis forces. Word of Daffy's resourceful endeavor reaches none other than Hitler himself, who, in a rage-infused spectacle, orders the annihilation of Daffy's precious scrap pile. The chosen instrument of destruction is a voracious goat, dispatched from a German submarine with only one mission: to devour every last piece of metal in Daffy's arsenal. Yet, Daffy is not one to accept defeat easily. Stirred by the spirits of America's heroic past, Daffy transcends his usual persona, becoming a "Super American" and launching a counterattack against the insatiable goat and the intrusive submarine. Awakening from what he assumes was a vivid dream, Daffy is met with a reality more bizarre than his dream. The German submarine is perched atop his scrap heap, and a choir of German soldiers plea, "Next time you dream, count us out!" This wartime tale blends humor with history, embodying the spirit of persistence and the power of imagination.
