In the monotonous world of Christopher Cross, a lowly bank cashier and downtrodden husband, exists a latent passion for art and an unfulfilled desire for respect. As days turn into a whirlwind of seduction, deceit, and avarice, Chris is entrapped in a perilous game, spiraling down a path of vice and even murder.
