Plot

In the shadow-veiled cityscape of New York, Paul, a humble word processor, finds himself magnetically drawn towards Marcy, an intriguing yet seemingly perturbed young woman he meets at a coffee shop. On a spontaneous whim, he embarks on an excursion to the bohemian heart of Soho for a midnight rendezvous. Little does he know, the clock's tick is leading him into a labyrinth of the bizarre, a vortex where reality dances cheek to cheek with the outlandish. As the night unfurls, Paul finds himself embroiled in a whirlwind of uncanny encounters and farcical circumstances. Guided only by the city's harsh neon glow, he stumbles upon a motley crew of characters - brooding bartenders with secrets as potent as their brews, audacious catburglars possessing an uncanny lack of grace, eccentric sculptresses, and volatile waitresses. He tangles with scornful bouncers, crosses paths with irate mobs led by unlikely ice cream truck drivers, and navigates questionable cab rides, each twist and turn amplifying his desperate quest to return home. "After Hours" weaves a tale of a night steeped in the surreal, a cascading domino effect of improbable coincidences that takes an ordinary man on an extraordinary odyssey. Paul's journey, a cocktail of humor, bewilderment, and the absurd, paints a nocturnal portrait of a city and its peculiar inhabitants, turning a simple date into a descent into the twilight zone of urban life.
