Plot

In the heart of an urban jungle, Nehalata, a vibrant and carefree young woman's life takes a traumatic turn when she is embroiled in a car accident, which leaves her memory shattered. Now trapped in the mental state of a six-year-old, she fails to recognize her own parents and, in an unfortunate twist of fate, wanders off, only to be kidnapped and forced into the harsh realities of a brothel under the guise of 'Reshmi'. In this grim world, a beacon of hope emerges in the form of Somu, a compassionate school teacher who, upon discovering her plight, bravely rescues her from the clutches of her captors. Choosing to prioritize Reshmi's wellbeing over his personal life, he resolutely turns a blind eye to the advances of Soni, the wife of his senior. He spirits Reshmi away to the serene hill station of Ooty, where he is employed, dedicating his life to restoring her lost innocence and nurturing a burgeoning affection for her. Meanwhile, Nehalata's tormented parents, clutching at straws, manage to trace her existence to Ooty. Teaming up with the local police, they launch a desperate search to reclaim their lost daughter. As the mountains echo with their frantic cries, a complex blend of love, loss, and longing unfolds, painting a poignant portrait of human resilience and the power of compassion. This captivating drama, 'Sadma', is a compelling exploration of the human spirit, the depths of despair, and the heights of selfless love, promising a cinematic experience that is as heartrending as it is heartwarming.
