Rope (1948)

Philip and Brandon believe they've committed the perfect murder, but the only thing that can lead to their discovery is their own hubris. The man they've killed is locked in a chest in their apartment, and they're bold enough to have a party with the body hidden away in the open. The guest of honor is their former teacher Rupert Cadell. The father of the dead young man is there as well, but it's Cadell who first begins to suspect that something's wrong. If he's ever to discover what happened, it will have to be tonight before the killers have a chance to dispose of the body.
