West Side Story (1961)

When Tony, an all-American Jet, falls for Maria, who is related to the Sharks, the Jet's rival Puerto Rican gang, the two young lovers must keep their feelings a secret. But that is hard to do when Tony hangs out with the guys and Maria has her girl crew, led by the whip smart Anita, to keep her company and give her lessons about life and love. As Tony and Maria try their best to keep the relationship under wraps, each learns what it means to be both meant for each other and not meant for each other in America.
