Plot

In the eerie shadow of the Allariz forest, a chilling discovery of defaced corpses triggers whispers of an ancient legend - the "Werewolf of Allariz". Amidst the fear, a wandering merchant, Manuel Blanco Romasanta, travels from village to village, greeted by awaiting women. With his allure and charisma, none suspect that he is the monstrous being that haunts their nightmares. However, Barbara, his latest prey, flips the script and becomes the predator. This cinematic journey is a chilling retelling of the real-life tale of Romasanta, a man who confessed to the horrific murders of thirteen individuals, utilizing their body fat to produce soap. Defending himself in an 1852 trial in Allaríz, he escaped the gallows by asserting he was the fabled werewolf. Barbara's tale intertwines with his, the sole survivor of her sisters, now on a relentless hunt for the beast. This film explores the enigmatic line between man and monster, truth and legend, prey and predator.
