Witness for the Prosecution (1957)

Sir Wilfrid Robarts had alreay made a public name for himself as a lawyer by the time he decided to represent Leonard Vole, but the Vole case would come to be perhaps the most defining of his career. Vole has been arrested for the murder of a rich aristocrat, leaving an easy and obvious motive that points straight back to Vole. But as Robarts begins investigating the case, he only seems to find mysteries that lead into other mysteries. Vole's wife is his alibi, but she hardly seems interested in his well-being. In fact, she seems to have interests all her own.
