In the not too far-off year of 2056, our world is gripped by a cataclysmic plague of organ failures. From this desolation, a beacon of hope arises in the form of GeneCo, an audacious biotech corporation that provides organ transplants—for a steep price. Those who default on their payments are ruthlessly pursued by the sinister Repo Men, who reclaim the coveted organs. In this dystopian reality, where surgical junkies are addicted to potent anaesthetics and savagery is state-sanctioned, a sheltered and sickly young girl embarks on a perilous quest. As she seeks a cure for her unique condition, she also delves into the enigmatic history of her kin. Her quest pulls her into the ominous vortex of GeneCo, a world from which there is no escape.
