In the heart of winter, on January 18, 2003, a chilling 911 call from two panic-stricken teenagers brought the police rushing to a modest townhouse in Toronto. They discovered a grim scene: a 44-year-old woman, a victim to her own demons of alcoholism and addiction, lifeless in her bathtub. Her death, steeped in a cocktail of pills and alcohol, was initially deemed a tragic accident. Yet, as the frosty months unfolded, whispers began to stir in the small community. The teenagers, daughters of the deceased, were overheard sharing unsettling details about their mother's demise, their words tainted with an eerie nonchalance. It was these rumours that prompted the police to re-evaluate the nature of the woman's death, to scratch beneath the surface of what was once considered an accident. In an unexpected twist, the once innocent teenagers were now cast under a shadow of suspicion. The narrative transformed, painting a sinister picture of premeditated murder, with the daughters at its chilling core.
