The Duchess (2008)

Georgiana was the Duchess of Devonshire, and she was one of the most extravagant and opulent aristocrats alive in 18th century England. But beneath Georgiana's extravagant demeanor is a woman who is treated by her husband as little more than a womb for his child and finds even her close friendship with Lady Bess sabotaged by her husband's indifference. So when Georgiana falls in love with a young politician, her husband stands directly in her way. Her attempts to grasp for love challenge contemporary notions of a woman's role, but her husband gives her an ultimatum between her family or her love.
