The Life of David Gale (2003)

David Gale has committed his life to advocating against the death penalty, but he finds that his cause becomes personal when he's accused and convicted of first degree murder. The public has long believed that David Gale raped and killed his friend and fellow activist, Constance Harraway, but a journalist who interviews him just days before his execution is scheduled begins to question the case laid out by the prosecution. His death row confession is gripping in its own right, but the case he lays out damns not just the story told by the prosecution but also the whole system surrounding it.
