In the chilling labyrinth of a local psychiatric hospital, art student Danny Sloan finds himself entranced by the ethereal beauty of Laura Baxter during a visit to his friend Billy. Laura, imprisoned in a sleep that consumes most of her life, is a living Sleeping Beauty, ensnared by the shackles of a rare medical condition known as "Parasomnia."
Her world, veiled in dreams, is a captivating mystery to Danny, who finds himself drawn deeper into her life with each fleeting moment of wakefulness. Unaware of the malevolent force lurking in the shadows, Danny's affection for Laura blossoms into an all-consuming love. But Laura is not alone in her dreamscape. Her hospital neighbor, Byron Volpe, a fearsome serial killer with a chilling talent for hypnotism, has sinister designs of his own.
The unsuspecting Danny, in a desperate bid to save Laura from becoming a guinea pig in a notorious clinic, orchestrates her escape from the hospital's sterile confines. Unbeknownst to him, this act of love sets a trail of blood in motion, as Volpe uses his terrifying ability to control and manipulate Laura's nightmares.
