Plot
In the dark, chilling thriller, "Octane," we follow the tumultuous journey of Senga Wilson, a hardened, divorced businesswoman with a pill addiction. On a long, dreary drive home with her rebellious and entitled teenage daughter, Natasha 'Nat' Wilson, a strained stop at a roadside restaurant sets the stage for the impending chaos. As the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, Nat, drawn in by the allure of mystery and rebellion, invites a mystifying hitchhiker to accompany them on their journey.
The mundane drive soon spirals into a nightmarish pursuit when Nat, after a heated argument with her mother and a tense encounter with her father, Marek, elopes with a bizarre, truck-nomadic cult. These nomads, a strange blend of hippie-like mysticism and blood-curdling savagery, are led by a 'father' who uses a deadly cocktail of drugs and sex to weave a sinister web around his followers.
Haunted by the ticking clock and her own inner demons, Senga finds herself chasing shadows in a desperate attempt to reclaim her daughter. Her pursuit becomes even more challenging when Nat's father dismisses her concerns and a Bradford PD detective, Ned Stephens, begins to question Senga's grip on reality. As the line between delusion and truth blurs, Senga must navigate a world of deception, dreams, and danger to rescue Nat. Her nightmare-fueled journey unravels in this suspenseful tale, where truth is elusive, and trust can be fatal.
