Jessica Fletcher, a former teacher, unintentionally became a well-known writer when her mystery book, which was just supposed to pass the time, ends up in the hands of a publisher. From then on, Fletcher becomes an amateur sleuth when murder and other mysteries are there–waiting for her at every turn.
