In the heart of America, Betty Mahmoody, a dedicated housewife, finds her world upended by the whims of her Iranian husband, "Moody". A successful doctor yearning for the nostalgia of his homeland, Moody persuades his wife and their cherished daughter, Mahtob, to embark on a two-week vacation to Iran.
