Newt Scamander is a magizoologist, which means he studies and seeks out magical creatures. In Newt's case, that's just where many of these creatures end up—inside Newt's magic briefcase. When several of these mythical beasts are set loose in New York, it's up to Newt and his new friends—including the No-Maj baker Jacob Kowalski—to find them before the Aurors do. Since the city is currently being terrorized by a dark and mysterious force, that may end up being more difficult than it sounds.
