The Wailing (2016)

The small South Korean village of Goksung has been seeing an alarming number of murders recently, but police officer Jong-Goo is just discovering that all of them seem to be traceable to a mysterious illness. The locals believe that a Japanese stranger who lives alone on the edge of the village is responsible, so Jong-Goo visits him with a Japanese translator who's also a priest. But once Jong-Goo meets the stranger, he begins to question his own certainty of who's to blame. In either case, he still needs to determine how to stop this illness that's destroying the town from within.
