Nebraska (2013)

This is the story of a father and son taking a road trip from Montana to Nebraska to find their fortune in the form of a winning lottery ticket. The son sees that the ticket is a scam, but the father believes it is real. Their relationship is strained by a lifetime of heavy drinking and the onset of dementia on the father’s part and a lack of understanding of the son’s. When they stop in the father’s old hometown, the son sees how his father is treated both before and after everyone thinks he is a millionaire. The son finally gains an understanding of his father’s mysterious character.
