Plot
In the grim underbelly of the city, a lone private detective comes to the rescue of a distressed prostitute under attack. His keen eye catches a glimpse of an uncommon ring adorning her finger. In a sinister twist of fate, she is later discovered brutally murdered, her unique ring nowhere to be found. The ring, it emerges, is a piece of a larger puzzle, a remnant of a stash of precious gems looted by the Nazis during the turmoil of World War II and clandestinely transported out of France by a shrewd American army colonel.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a thirst for justice, the private investigator embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind the missing ring. His journey takes an unexpected turn when the former colonel, the puppet master of the post-war smuggling operation, hires him to recover the remaining jewels. His mission, however, doesn't go unnoticed and he soon finds himself in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with a ruthless French gang, also on the hunt for the lost treasures. The line between allies and enemies blurs as the race for the jewels intensifies, each party willing to do whatever it takes to claim the ultimate prize.
