My Babysitter's a Vampire (2010)

Ethan Morgan, a socially awkward freshman, finds his mundane life disrupted when his parents employ Erica - a high school senior and avid fan of the vampire series "Dusk" - to babysit him and his younger sister, Jane. On the night of her duty, Erica stumbles upon a party hosted by her friend Sarah's vampire ex-boyfriend, Jesse, which lures her away from her babysitting responsibilities. Sarah steps in as a substitute, sparking Ethan's intrigue when he discovers her lack of reflection and has a prophetic vision upon touching her. Sharing his suspicions with Benny, his equally geeky confidante, Ethan's hunch is confirmed when they witness Sarah feeding on a rat. Sarah confesses to being a fledgling, a vampire yet to taste human blood, and the trio unite to rescue Erica from the perilous vampire party. Their mission is complicated when they are ambushed by a vampire dispatched by Jesse, and further when they discover that Erica has succumbed to the vampire curse and infected their clueless friend, Rory. The narrative takes a darker turn when Rory, now a full-blood vampire, reveals Jesse's plan to resurrect an ancient vampire cult during a lunar eclipse using the mysterious Cubile Animus - a "Nest of Souls". Ethan's visions guide them to the shocking revelation of Jesse's true identity and his sinister plot to trap the souls of unsuspecting teens at a movie premiere. Armed with enchanted daggers and a spellbook, courtesy of Benny's Earth Priestess grandmother, Ethan, Benny, and Sarah thwart the vampires' soul-stealing scheme at the theater. In the ensuing chaos, Jesse escapes, leading Ethan and Benny on a pursuit which culminates in a final showdown in Ethan's backyard. With Sarah's help, Ethan uses the Cubile Animus to unleash the trapped souls, leading to Jesse's downfall. As a new day dawns, Ethan, Benny, and Sarah navigate the challenges of school life, while Erica and Rory adjust to their newfound vampire existence, promising a life of peaceful coexistence.
