In the lively heart of Mumbai's burgeoning artist community, we meet Karan (Tusshar Kapoor), a spirited young man with a heart that beats fiercely for the welfare of strangers and lovelorn friends. As a pillar of this band of struggling artists, Karan faces constant criticism from his stern father, Krishna (Dalip Tahil), but finds solace in the unwavering faith of his devout mother, Sushma (Himani Shivpuri), and his quick-witted sister, Priya (Rinkie Khanna). Karan's life takes a poetic turn when he crosses paths with the enchanting Pooja Saxena (Kareena Kapoor), a beauty recently returned from the United States. Struck by her charm, Karan's usual bravado crumbles, and he finds himself lost in the labyrinth of unexpressed love. Their paths intertwine further when Karan, in a heroic act, rescues a child and Pooja herself from a horrific accident, leaving a deep impression on her. Guided by the worldly wisdom of his protective tau (paternal uncle) Balram Singh (Amrish Puri), Karan musters the courage to express his feelings in a birthday card penned in his own blood. However, instead of winning her heart, this gesture horrifies Pooja. A heartbroken Karan discovers that Pooja harbors feelings for someone else in the USA and plans to return there to complete her studies, leaving him grappling with his insecurities and a diminished confidence. Karan’s life takes a dramatic twist when a car accident sends him over a cliff, leaving Pooja guilt-ridden and believing him to be dead. A stranger rescues Karan and he is miraculously reunited with his family. Determined to find Pooja, he sets off on a quest that leads him to a surprising reunion and an unexpected friendship with her. As Pooja prepares to leave for America, Karan finally confesses his love. To his delight, she reciprocates his feelings and promises to return to marry him, leaving us with the tantalizing anticipation of a love story yet to fully bloom.
