Moving Target (1988)

Cloaked in the throbbing heartbeat of music, Toby Kellogg, a blooming musician, finds himself reluctantly departing for a summer music school, leaving behind the familiar rhythm of his band and the burgeoning melody of a potential romance. One night, driven by a homesick yearning, Toby escapes his dormitory, only to provoke a tempest as the police frantically scour his dorm in his absence. Anticipating a symphony of parental disappointment and brotherly disapproval upon his return, Toby is instead met with a chilling silence. His familial abode stands eerily empty, void of the comforting clutter of life, as if it's been hastily abandoned. Unbeknownst to Toby, his father has inadvertently unraveled a lethal mafia conspiracy, spiraling the Kellogg family into the witness protection program's shadowy embrace. However, the true crescendo of danger begins when a lethal assassin, having mistakenly claimed the life of Toby's dearest friend, is now on the hunt to rectify his error. Toby's life swiftly transforms into a thrilling fugue, an unpredictable melody of suspense and danger, as he becomes an unwitting pawn in this deadly game of cat and mouse.
