As the cherished Mother's Day weekend dawns, Laura Miller, a dedicated housewife and mother to teen Brandon and 12-year-old Ella, finds herself lost amidst the whirlwind of her own life. Once an aspiring architect, Laura chose to abandon her career dreams to build a family with real estate agent Michael Miller. Now, she feels alienated and underappreciated, her family caught up in their individual lives and expecting her to tend to their every need without a word of protest. Laura, the reluctant disciplinarian, is plagued with the growing realization that her clan takes her for granted.
