Ted 2 (2015)

Ted marries Tami-Lynn and everything is fine until they argue about having children. Since Ted is a teddy bear, he doesn't produce sperm to procreate. His best friend John helps him look for a donor. They even attempt to steal sperm from Tom Brady, which goes awry. John eventually agrees to donate his sperm, but Tami-Lynn is infertile. As they pursue adoption, the background check results in Massachusetts declaring Ted property. His status as property instead of a person results in Ted losing his job and his marriage. John, Ted, and Tami-Lynn must then fight through the legal system in order to restore Ted's personhood.
