St. Vincent (2014)

Vincent has done a terrible job taking care of himself, and that may be why he ends up babysitting for his new next door neighbor's son. A Vietnam vet, Vincent is misanthropic and grumpy. Most his interactions with the outside world involve gambling, and that's left him destitute and in debt to dangerous men. Vincent doesn't do much to change up his behavior, but he still manages to serve as an unconventional role model for the young man he's babysitting. 12-year old Oliver is dealing with all of the psychological trauma surrounding the divorce of his parents, and the young boy and grown man become unlikely friends.
