Plot

In the heart of Paris, the esteemed Dr. Gogol finds himself entranced by the alluring stage artist, Yvonne Orlac. His obsession is far from discreet, as night after night he is drawn to the theater like a moth to a flame, his eyes fixed on the enchanting Yvonne. His dreams are shattered when he learns that Yvonne plans to leave her stage life behind to join her husband, the celebrated pianist Stephen Orlac, for a long-awaited honeymoon. However, their dreams of marital bliss are abruptly halted as they find themselves entangled in a horrific accident, leaving Stephen's hands – the very essence of his musical talent – crushed beyond recognition. Overwhelmed by despair, Yvonne overcomes her unease towards Dr. Gogol, pleading him to restore her husband's hands, his life essence. In a twist of macabre genius, Dr. Gogol decides to graft the hands of the recently executed, knife-wielding murderer, Rollo, onto Stephen. The operation, teetering on the brink of medical taboo, is a success, but the aftermath is far from what they anticipated. Stephen, once a gentle soul, now finds himself in the grip of violent temper tantrums, his personality fundamentally altered. In a chilling revelation, Stephen discovers his newfound and eerily precise skill in knife-throwing, mirroring the sinister talents of the executed Rollo. As the lines between the pianist and the murderer blur, the consequences of Dr. Gogol's mad love unfold in a haunting symphony of love, obsession and eerily transplanted hands.
