Mad Love (1935)

In the heart of Paris, the esteemed Dr. Gogol finds himself entranced by the alluring stage artist, Yvonne Orlac. His obsession is far from discreet, as night after night he is drawn to the theater like a moth to a flame, his eyes fixed on the enchanting Yvonne. His dreams are shattered when he learns that Yvonne plans to leave her stage life behind to join her husband, the celebrated pianist Stephen Orlac, for a long-awaited honeymoon. However, their dreams of marital bliss are abruptly halted as they find themselves entangled in a horrific accident, leaving Stephen's hands – the very essence of his musical talent – crushed beyond recognition. Overwhelmed by despair, Yvonne overcomes her unease towards Dr. Gogol, pleading him to restore her husband's hands, his life essence.
