In the bustling world of social media, Mira Simon, a diligent Project Manager at Your Page, dreams of a life beyond her cubicle. She yearns to replace the CEO of her company, Erin, who she greatly admires and aspires to emulate. But her overworked boss, Michael, stands as an impediment to her dreams. Visions of romance are also studded in her dreams, revolving around Liam, a successful and stunning local restaurateur she knows from a magazine article. Beyond her career and love life, she also fantasizes about a luxurious apartment, far from her current humble abode shared with her roommate Brooke and their friend Kelsea. As fate would have it, on April Fool's Day, a day Mira detests for its deceptive pranks, her dreams unexpectedly manifest into reality. After an impressive pitch, Mira leapfrogs over Michael and lands the position of Vice President of Creative Development. Along with the promotion, she is gifted a corporate townhouse, dripping with opulence. Meanwhile, a chance encounter introduces her to Liam, and sparks fly instantly. However, Mira's journey towards her dreams is not without spectators. Jonah, a graphic designer at Your Page and Mira's best friend at work, silently watches Mira embark on her fairy-tale life. Unbeknownst to Mira, Jonah secretly harbours deep feelings for her, even modeling the lead character of his dream children's book series after her. But life in the fast lane proves not to be as glamorous as Mira envisioned. The pressures of her new job morph her into a mirror image of Michael, a person she detests, rather than Erin, the person she idolizes. The luxurious townhouse feels more like a gilded cage, isolating her from her friends. Liam, despite his charm, fails to provide the emotional support she truly needs, leaving her yearning for something more genuine.
