Jessie, dutifully preserving the legacy of her grandmother, runs the bakery with an unchanging recipe of tradition and love. However, the winds of modernity beckon, nudging Jessie and her faithful assistant Beatrice towards an uncertain future. Howard, their progressive business manager, warns that change is inevitable if the bakery is to survive the test of time.
In a bid to adapt, Jessie ventures into the art of crafting custom wedding cakes. Her first promising order comes from Suzanne Cooper, a renowned local fashion designer and an expectedly high-maintenance client. Contrary to Jessie's apprehensions, Suzanne proves to be a delightful patron, opening the doors to an unforeseen bond with her widowed brother, Aidan Cooper, a commercial real estate agent, and his charming five-year-old daughter, Riley Cooper.
As Jessie finds herself entwined in the sweetness of this budding romance, her world is rocked by a business crisis.
